The G7 countries will block Russian assets until the war in Ukraine ends, the G7 foreign ministers said in a joint statement.

“Russia’s sovereign assets in our jurisdictions will remain immobilized until the conflict over Russia’s violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity is resolved. Any settlement of the conflict must ensure that Russia pays for the damage it has caused.”
